1) Communication Skill: Often misunderstood as just loud or good accent rather it is as simple as the message sent by the sender should be interpreted by the receiver in the same form as sent. Their will be times when you may have interpreter for eliciting the requirement because your end user doesn’t understand the language that you speak, in this case it is very important to form the message in such a way that the end user understands.

2) Problem solving skill: This skill is either in built or can be learnt if you have a persistence and patience to identify a problem. It is very important to understand the source of problem or whose problem is it, only then it becomes possible to provide solutions.

3) Listening skill: BA is not about talking or chatting it is majorly about listening . Listening to your stakeholders needs and further analyse to break down further into solutions.

4) Techniques and Tools : Like any other Profession BA too has some techniques and tools for smooth functioning of BA activities. If the traditional model is understood new tools are not difficult to learn.

5) Empathy : Being Empathetic to your stakeholders internal or external is the major ethics that BA can possess. This skill builds the values surrounding BA activities.

6) Simplicity : Last but not the least being simple is the most important skill to be a successful BA . Writing the documents in simple manner helps all the involved parties to interpret them easily.
